to take part in this topic you can head over to nadnut's blog~ :)
this week's topic was contributed by me so i shall do a short post about it!
Would You Rather?…
1) Live each day as it comes until you die? After all most people say.. ignorance is bliss.
OR
2) Know exactly when you will die. You rather have the knowledge when would your last day be and plan your final remaining days.
Choose one and explain why!
Here's my take:
Everytime i read about accidents.. where people, especially young people, suddenly die.. i can't help but think that life's too short. take the recent killing of the 28 yr old lawyer for example.. she was actually an ex-colleague and classmate of my sister.. she was young and had a promising future.. she had recently gotten married too.. and yet just like that her life was over.. really makes you wonder doesn't it?
To be honest i really don't know which i would choose.. because if i were to die one day like that girl.. i think i might want to know.. then at least i can do all the things i want to do before i die... if you know you tend not to take things for granted... you begin to appreciate the people and things around you more.. and you have time to let them know how much they mean to you.. and you desire to do more in your life.
But on the other hand.. it's scary to know.. haha. i'm not sure if i would be able to handle it if i knew.. it's kinda depressing! It's a tough choice... but if i really had to choose.. i'd rather not know. i'd rather just live each day the way it makes me happy.. make the choices that i want.. and most importantly make sure the people i love know i love them.
I say live for the now.. What's the point of making so many future plans if you don't even know if there'll be a tomorrow? If you live day to day happily won't that make your life so much more worthwhile? :) You never know when will be your last so live while you're still living! (obviously it doesn't mean that you spend every penny in your bank acc!) Just don't pin all your expectations, hopes and dreams on the "future". What about now?
Life's too short to live by so many reservations! :)
